About Tyler
Tyler is a native of Houston, Texas. At age ten, he moved to Mississippi where he currently resides. Being a two-time lukemia survivor, Tylers doctors and family always knew that there was a huge reason he conquered this life threatening disease. As he grew strong and healthy, he also grew more in love with racing. He went from being a boy racing toy cars down a hospital hallway, to being a man with a lead foot and a big dream.
Though Tyler’s family never had an interest in racing or the racing world, Tyler always wanted to be a part of it. If he was not racing, he wanted to be at the tracks watching and learning the ins and outs of his passion. Tyler bought a dirt track race car and a go kart and attempted to run locally, but without financial help, continuing to race was impossible. Tyler turned to iRacing, a world wide racing simulation. There are around thirty thousand racers and Tyler climbed the pole and runs in the top ten. He is part of the NASCAR iRacing.com Drivers World Championship, where fifty of the best racers around the world compete for the title. He races with NASCAR drivers including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Parker Kligerman, and Cale Gale. Even though he is proud of that accomplishment Tyler still wants to go further. He knows God gave him the dream, determination and ability to do what he loves.
In 2010 Tyler tested with a NASCAR Whelen All American Series team in North Carolina. It was his first time to drive on asphault in a real racing truck. He hit the lines and turns around the track like he had been racing on asphault for years. He turned the heads of Lee Faulk and Michael Faulk, the owners of the team. They told Tyler, for his first time on the track, he was one of the most consistant and smoothest drivers they had ever seen. Tyler joined the team and was their 2011 Super Truck driver at Hickory Motor Speedway. A track given the nickname “The birthplace of NASCAR stars“. He ran 10 out of 12 races with four top fives and never finished worse than seventh. His first racing season he finished 5th in the overall 2011 points out of seventeen truck drivers. Tyler was awarded 2011 Super Truck Rookie of the Year.
Now that Tyler has seen what he can do, he knows he will be competitive in this sport. He looks forward to his 2012 racing season and knows he will make his marketing partners, team, and family proud. He has the determination to move up in the racing industry and knows one day he will race with the “big boys” in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
